Acting as a crew

A collective adventure

Acting as a crew means continuing to make Groupe Beneteau first and foremost a human project. A collective adventure where men and women, united in their great diversity, are our company’s greatest strength.

In a fast-changing job market, we want to develop an inspiring and unifying social model that reconciles the demands of performance and the expectations of our employees and future talent.

Our commitments to act as a crew

In March 2025, the Group will have 6,500 employees in 6 countries. Including, protecting, developing and engaging each and every one of them is an absolute priority for us.

1. Ensuring a safe and healthy working environment

To protect the physical integrity and guarantee the safety of every employee, we have drawn up a multi-year B-SAFE action plan to achieve the levels of excellence defined in our production standards. It is based on safety training and awareness-raising for all our employees, permanent, temporary, apprentices and work-study students.

By 2024 :

  • 14.6% accident frequency rate for Boat Division employees vs. 25% in 2023.

2. Maintaining the appeal of all our professions

The Beneteau Group is multiplying its initiatives to maintain the attractiveness of its professions: co-optation programs, training in nautical culture, a fleet of employee boats, membership of the Nautical Professions Campus. To facilitate the induction of new employees, each of our subsidiaries has also set up an induction path and program in cooperation with our training centers.

By 2024 :

  • 6,419 employees in 6 countries worldwide, whose diverse profiles and professions enable us to innovate and perform.
  • 84% pride of belonging following internal satisfaction survey.

3. Developing skills and raising awareness of climate issues

Initial training, ongoing skills development and internal mobility paths are a priority for Groupe Beneteau. Our training catalog covers more than 350 themes, including: technical know-how, industrial excellence, managerial efficiency, safety and quality, Ethics & Compliance, environment and climate.

By 2024 :

  • 6,700 employees trained
  • + 88,000 hours of training (average of 13.1 hours per employee).
  • + 240 employees familiarized with the nautical culture
  • 4 in-house training centers
Internal Training Centre: “We are committed to the quality of our boats and the safety of our customers”

“At the ITC, employees learn a trade in accordance with the standards defined by the Group,” explains Pierre COLY, head of the ITC. “Our role is to teach them the right gestures so that they follow the manufacturing processes in complete safety.” In 2024, the ITC was reorganised to meet the need for increased skills linked to internal mobility. “Some training courses were on hold. We took advantage of a quieter period to organise them,” stresses Pierre COLY. “We have also updated our planning to better respond to identified needs, and developed new training courses in line with the Quality roadmap, particularly in areas such as electricity and the structure of our boats.“

“Among the training courses that are important to us, the one on nautical culture, which lasted one day, involved more than 240 employees,” says Pierre COLY. “It’s an opportunity to go out to sea aboard the Beneteau Foundation’s Oceanis 46 sailing boat. The aim for our operators to grasp the purpose of their work by highlighting all the stages in the manufacture of our boats, emphasising the importance of structure and respect for manufacturing processes.“

Taking collective action: after the climate fresco, the 2tonnes workshop!

In addition to the climate fresco set up in 2023, Groupe Beneteau is continuing to raise awareness of climate change among all its employees. “Taking these issues on board is a collective responsibility,” says Séverine
ROCHETEAU, central buyer. The frescoes take stock of all the consequences of our human activity and warn us of the urgent need to get things back on track. But once the facts are on the table, the “How can we take action?” question arises. The 2tonnes workshop is a logical follow-up to the fresco.“The aim is to reduce CO2 emissions by two tonnes per person per year by 2050, in line with the Paris Agreement*. “This workshop is in the form of a game and provides concrete tools and actions to help us understand how, collectively and individually, we can achieve this objective,” concludes Séverine. Since its introduction in March 2024, the 2tonne workshop has raised awareness among 122 Group employees.
*Today, on average in France, we emit 10 tonnes of CO2 per person per year.

4. Reinforcing gender equality and promoting diversity

With operations in 6 countries, Groupe Beneteau is particularly attentive to the diversity of its teams: it is our greatest strength. Gender equality is one of our priorities.

In 2024 :

  • Signature of the #StOpE initiative (Stop so-called “Ordinary” Sexism in the Workplace) to make a lasting dent in sexism in the workplace.
  • Fight against sexual harassment and sexist behaviour: over 435 Managers trained, a poster campaign distributed to all Group entities worldwide and a practical guide for employees to help them take action.
  • Creation of an internal Groupe Beneteau index, inspired by the national Egapro index (Egapro 2025 index results) and taking into account parity and equity criteria.
  • A mentoring program has been validated and a parenting charter has been written for deployment in 2025.
