Our unique know-how

Yacht builder from generation to generation

We are one of the world’s oldest boatbuilders, with a unique blend of craftsmanship and industrial excellence.

And so is the work of each and every one of our employees.

All over the world, each and every one of them is dedicated to maintaining Groupe Beneteau’s historic core business: designing and building boats that are as beautiful as they are robust, for four generations.

Our exceptional projects in France and abroad

In France, the United States, Poland, Italy, Portugal and Tunisia: our yacht building sites are all focused on operational excellence.
To guarantee the comfort and safety of our customers and employees alike, we are constantly improving the efficiency of our production systems.

The unique skills of our teams

In our shipyards and workshops, the technical and human skills of our teams are extremely varied and complementary. In 2023, they gave life to nearly 6,800 sailing and motor yachts, monohulls and multihulls. This unique know-how, recognized the world over, has enabled us to achieve remarkable industrial feats in the sector. From the 1000th Lagoon 42 to leave our yard 8 years after the first one was launched, to the construction of the world’s first series of recyclable boats in just a few months… That’s what being a Groupe Beneteau boatbuilder is all about!

“8 years after the first one was launched, the Bellevigny teams designed the 1,000th Lagoon 42 in November 2023: a remarkable industrial feat that represents nearly 1,300 hours of multi-skilled work and the assembly of more than 3,000 components per boat.”

Nicolas, LAGOON Project Manager.

The art of passing on our crafts of excellence

Groupe Beneteau’s know-how is first and foremost the unique skills and qualifications required for each boat model. To preserve this know-how, we have placed the transmission of knowledge and training at the heart of our business model. Our four in-house training centers (in Poland and France) are invaluable for passing on our know-how in all technical trades. From molding to boat assembly, tailored training courses are developed for our design office staff, draughtsmen, technicians, engineers and production operators. Over 5,500 employees take part in these programs every year.

“Once again this year, the Group’s Internal Training Center has demonstrated its essential role in ensuring the quality of our products: from the integration of new employees to the upgrading of the skills of the most experienced, it is a pillar of our collective success. Even on the water! In 2023, over 32,000 hours of training were provided by our 15 trainers in France.”

Pierre COLY, Head of Groupe Beneteau’s Internal Training Center.
