Supporting and accompanying public-interest projects

Under the chairmanship of Annette Roux since 2005, the Beneteau Foundation has supported various projects in three main areas: environmental protection, promotion of naval heritage, and innovation.

Renovation of legendary boats, education, support for ocean racing talent, and assistance to coastal communities… Discover a selection of projects supported by the Beneteau Foundation since its inception.

Architectural competitions

Between 2010 and 2020, the foundation held an annual competition for architecture and design schools, focusing on themes related to the environment and innovation. This competition reflects the foundation’s commitment to addressing the challenges of tomorrow, including a lifestyle that respects the marine environment and the development of alternative habitats.

The Hermione

The foundation contributed to funding the Hermione – La Fayette association, allowing young sailors to discover sailing on the high seas aboard this iconic ship.

The sailing school - Les Glénans

In 2018, the foundation committed its support for three years to the Glénans Avenirs Fund, addressing societal issues such as education, sustainable development and the preservation of common heritage.

Team Vendée

Faced with the lack of specific training for competitive sailors in Vendée, this association offers young French talents training in ocean racing careers.

Marins sans frontières

The foundation supports this association for its humanitarian actions, which aim to help isolated populations or those dependent on the sea, while preserving the marine environment.

Collaboration with the Grand Largue Association

In 2017, with the support of the foundation, the Lady Valentine and its crew collaborated with the Grand Largue association, allowing three teenagers to make a crossing and learn to sail.

Lady Valentine

After entrusting the renovation of the hybrid sailboat Lady Valentine to the Groupe Beneteau training center, the foundation decided to give the boat an educational vocation to promote maritime professions.

Renovation of the F40 Jeanneau-Fleury Michon

The foundation is committed to preserving iconic boats from the history of yachting, thus contributing to the restoration of a catamaran built in 1985 by Jeanneau Technique Avancé (JTA).

The AACSM Award

Committed to the preservation of naval heritage, the foundation has funded the AACSM prize since 2015, dedicated to the preservation of lifeboats, with grants for the renovation of historic lifeboats.
