SEANAPPS: the era of the connected boat

Our 9 brands adopted it in 2023: our SEANAPPS app revolutionizes and amplifies onboard experiences. Thanks to a box installed on board and a mobile application, owners of equipped boats can retrieve all their boat’s information directly from their smartphone.

SEANAPPS connects owners’ new or pre-owned boats to over 500 Groupe Beneteau dealer partners worldwide. With remote monitoring of boat condition, real-time alerts and maintenance recommendations, SEANAPPS helps to extend the life of your boat and better understand the expectations of its user.

By 2024, 10,000 of our boats will be equipped with the SEANAPPS application.

3 questions to Xavier Tissier, Marketing Operations Manager, My Boat Solutions.

How does SEANAPPS work?

Nearly a million nautical miles have already been covered by this connected fleet, by far the largest in the world. Feeding a revolutionary database, this application will enable our product teams to develop future models in line with customer needs.

How can the new sensors enhance the onboard experience?

The new range of twelve sensors has been designed to enhance safety and comfort on board, as well as to reduce the environmental footprint of our boats. Owners around the world will now be able to access more information about their boat in real time (energy performance, access points, temperature, humidity, etc.), directly from their smartphone.

How do we interact with ocean preservation stakeholders?

The analyses provided by SEANAPPS play an essential role in the integration of the environmental dimension within Groupe Beneteau. The data collected through this digital solution provides an in-depth understanding of boat usage patterns to effectively guide our strategy towards more responsible choices. SEANAPPS also aims to actively engage in dialogue with key players such as NGOs and the scientific community, in order to work together to address key issues such as oceanographic research, water quality and the protection of biodiversity.
