B-Sustainable: 2030 course for more sustainable boating
B-SUSTAINABLE is our CSR (Corporate Social Responsibility) roadmap for 2030. Its three pillars – Ethical Growth, Engaged Crew and Preserved Oceans – concern all our activities and cover our entire value chain, in line with the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals.
Ethical Growth
We have opted for a sustainable, responsible business model that is exemplary over the long term and reflects the values of our Group. Our aim is to maintain a balanced relationship with our stakeholders.
Engaged Crew
We want to move forward collectively and develop a corporate project that is inspiring, egalitarian and reassuring. For the talents of today and tomorrow, united in their diversity throughout the world.
Preserved Oceans – Preserving the oceans
We want to reduce our environmental impact and strengthen our contribution to the fight against global warming. Together with all sea lovers, we want to contribute to the challenge of protecting the oceans, the blue lungs of our planet.
“Since 2022, Groupe Beneteau has accelerated its CSR approach, which has been underway for over 10 years. Collectively, we are committed to reducing our C02 emissions intensity by 30% by 2030.”
Bruno Thivoyon, Chief Executive Officer, Groupe Beneteau.
Dedicated CSR governance
Our CSR commitments involve all levels of Group governance: from employees to the Executive Committee, from operational functions to management functions, right up to the Board of Directors.
Since 2022, we have strengthened our CSR governance to ensure greater alignment between our action plans and our ambitions. A dynamic supported by our majority family shareholding and the creation of a CSR committee.
Signatory of the United Nations Global Compact
Since December 2020, Groupe Beneteau has been a signatory of the United Nations Global Compact, confirming its commitment to helping achieve the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) that concern it.
Certifications & awards
As a major player in the global yachting industry, we set ourselves ambitious targets, and we are aware of the importance of reporting on our progress.
To continuously improve its working practices, the Beneteau Group relies on international standards: ISO 9001 (quality management), ISO 14001 (environmental management) and ISO 50001 (energy performance management).
Our performance on environmental, social and governance (ESG) criteria is also assessed by various players, rating agencies and other external bodies. In 2024, Ecovadis awarded the Beneteau Group a silver medal, placing it in the top 15% of companies committed to sustainable development.
Groupe Beneteau’s efforts to design more sustainable boats are also regularly rewarded. In 2023, our brands won 24 awards, including 6 for the Group’s sustainable development innovations.
